Aave is an open source and non-custodial liquidity protocol for earning interest on deposits and borrowing assets. This means you can deposit crypto assets and earn interest or borrow crypto from depositors, all without a middle man. 

<h2>What is Aave?</h2><p>Aave (pronounced ahhh-vay 🙂) is a service that connects lenders and borrowers. Borrowers come to the platform and put up collateral (in the form of crypto) to take out loans. Lenders, or depositors, provide crypto to borrowers in exchange for interest payments. This arrangement is not unlike the way that a bank takes deposits and then turns around and loans out those deposits. Unlike a bank, Aave passes the majority of the interest earned to the lender (~2% APY v 0.01% at a bank). Moreover, there is no centralized entity making decisions regarding the terms of the loans as it is all decided based on the source code of the protocol which can only be updated by the DAO.</p><h2>Aave (AAVE) token</h2><p>AAVE is used as the centre of gravity of Aave Protocol governance. AAVE is used to vote and decide on the outcome of Aave Improvement Proposals (AIPs). Gyms are networked GPU cloud compute providers (similar to miners), who choose to run training algorithms for a specific ASM application (eg: a popular game, or a trading bot for DeFi markets). He's currently in prison in London fighting his extradition to the U.S. where he would likely face 175 years in prison.</p><h2>What is Assange DAO?</h2><p>The AssangeDAO is dedicated to restoring Julian Assange's freedom. The DAO started to mobilize in a Telegram group on December 10th, 2021, the day that the U.S. government won its appeal of a British court ruling that barred Assange’s extradition to the US. Shortly after the Telegram group was formed, Assange’s brother Gabriel Shipton joined. He informed the group that an NFT collaboration with Assange was in progress which was going to be auctioned to raise funds for his campaign. The DAO raised ~$50M in eth which it voted to spend on Assange's NFT project, thereby granting Assange the funds to put towards his fight for freedom.</p>

<h2>The Bread Heads Origin Story</h2><p>Bread Heads was an idea I had after being involved in crypto art since early 2017, I have (currently paused) a crypto apparel store I started almost immediately after getting into crypto and was always proud about accepting small coins, I used to have a phrase "I put shirts on shitcoiners backs" lol, I was the first to accept many coins that don't exist and a few that still do, ARRR and XHV for example. Then came the NFT rush, I had fun making 1 of 1's but really wanted to do a series! I just had no idea how to do generative artwork and was worried I would be too late if I tried to take the time to learn how to do all the coding and work for this, But I couldn't let that stop me... What could I do?</p><p>After I had gotten out of the Army I wanted to switch it up, I had kind of skipped out on being a shit head 18 year old so I decided to go to culinary school using the GI bill, there one day for whatever reason I dressed up a baguette with a cigarette and a beanie, maybe out of boredom, I can't remember, but whilst thinking of an idea for a series that baguette popped in my mind.</p><p> I knew I was decent at photography (I had a few submissions that made it to national geographic check out my personal series here) and I knew that even though it would be a ton of work it was something I COULD do, THIS would be my break. Initially, I called it frenchie (my 2-year-old daughter still calls them frenchies haha) and I KNEW I was doing something different and I just KNEW if I worked hard and did it right it would sell out. I'm not sure my friends were as assured as me but I started plugging away.</p><p> I ordered about $300 dollars worth of doll accessories, bought a small green screen, and set up my living room to get to work. Mind you I work full-time and co-parent, so after 7:30 when I put my daughter down, I would get to work until about 1-2, wake up, take my daughter to daycare, and go to work as a mechanic. This was like this on repeat for a couple of months, but what did I care? THIS WAS MY TICKET, and it was fun, something different. I love the crypto world and the people in it and I want to leave my own little footprint on it. </p><p>Now as confident as we all get, sometimes there is a bit of doubt, through my earlier years of supporting all kinds of coins I befriended, who has undoubtedly been one of my favorite people and a big supporter of my work, Not So Fast. I sent him a message about what I was doing and showed him a photo of a bread prototype.. If I had the Legend laughing I knew I had something, Sure enough, my man loved it! </p><p>This gave me the boost I needed to keep plugging away long hours of green screen removals and editing. Compound is an algorithmic, autonomous interest rate protocol built for developers, to unlock a universe of open financial applications.

<h2>What is Compound?</h2><p>Compound&nbsp;<span style="color: rgb(38, 38, 38);">is a service that connects lenders and borrowers. Borrowers come to the platform and put up collateral (in the form of crypto) to take out loans. Lenders, or depositors, provide crypto to borrowers in exchange for interest payments. This arrangement is not unlike the way that a bank takes deposits and then turns around and loans out those deposits. Unlike a bank, Compound passes the majority of the interest earned to the lender (~2% APY v 0.01% at a bank). Moreover, there is no centralized entity making decisions regarding the terms of the loans as it is all decided based on the source code of the protocol which can only be updated by the DAO.</span></p>

<h2>What is ConstitutionDAO?</h2><p>There are 11 remaining first edition copies of the U.S. Constitution. In November 2021, one went up for auction at Sotheby's. ConstitutionDAO raised $47M from 20,000 contributors to buy it. Contributors received $PEOPLE in exchange for eth. Community governance, namely what the community would choose to do with the constitution once it won the auction, was to be decided using the PEOPLE token. Despite a successful fundraise, ConstitutionDAO lost the auction to Ken Griffin. Ken Griffin is the billionaire founder and CEO of Citadel Securities. After losing the auction, community members were able to get refunds by redeeming $PEOPLE for eth. Despite losing the bid, ConstitutionDAO demonstrated the power of crypto-based community fundraising and helped onboard thousands of people to the ecosystem.</p><p>Some chose to hang on to their PEOPLE tokens and formed PeopleDAO, a ConstitutionDAO spinoff. While not formally connected to the original ConstitutionDAO, it's comprised of many of the same members. Any sale under the floor price or for less than the previous purchase price incurs a 33% tax that goes to the DeGods treasury. Those funds are then used to buy and burn the cheapest DeGods on the market, thereby reducing the supply and increasing the price. <h1 style="text-align: start"><strong>What is Decentraland?</strong></h1><p style="text-align: start">Decentraland is a decentralized virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain. Within the Decentraland platform, users can create, experience, and monetize their content and applications.</p><p style="text-align: start">The finite, traversable, 3D virtual space within Decentraland is called <strong>LAND</strong>, a non-fungible digital asset maintained in an Ethereum smart contract. Land is divided into <strong>parcels</strong> that are identified by cartesian coordinates (x,y). These parcels are permanently owned by members of the community and are purchased using MANA, Decentraland’s cryptocurrency token. This gives users full control over the environments and applications that they create, which can range from anything like static 3D scenes to more interactive applications or games.</p><p style="text-align: start">Some parcels are further organized into themed communities, or Districts. The content that makes up Decentraland is stored and distributed via a decentralized network while ownership and transactions are validated on the Ethereum blockchain.</p><h2 style="text-align: start"><strong>How is the DAO related? How is it relevant to me?</strong></h2><p style="text-align: start">Decentraland is the first fully decentralized virtual world. It was always part of the original vision to hand over control to the people who create and play in this virtual space. In short – you, the users. Through the DAO, you are in control of the policies created to determine how the world behaves: for example, what kinds of wearable items are allowed (or disallowed) after the launch of the DAO, moderation of content, LAND policy and auctions, among others.</p><h2 style="text-align: start"><strong>How does the DAO work?</strong></h2><p style="text-align: start">The community will propose and vote on policy updates, future LAND auctions, whitelisting of NFT contracts to be allowed inside the World, Builder and Marketplace, and whatever the community deems relevant.
